Stuart A. Scherr, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Stuart Scherr, MDDr. Scherr was born and raised in Pittsburgh and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry at the University of Pittsburgh. He attended Jefferson Medical College graduating in 1971. A Residency in Otolaryngology was completed at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 1976. This was followed by two years on Active Duty in the U.S. Army stationed in Panama. He returned to Philadelphia with his practice consolidating in Northeast Philadelphia for over 30 years. He performed surgery at a number of hospitals, but was most active at Nazareth Hospital where he was Chairman of the Surgery Department from 2003 until 2014. He started a Balance Center at Nazareth Hospital in 2012. He is a member of The American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery as well as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He practices general otolaryngology and currently only sees office patients
working part time.
